Douglas Christensen is admitted to the Bar in North Dakota, Minnesota, the United States District Courts, the Eighth and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Christensen is a 1971 graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and is a 1965 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead , Minnesota . He is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Dakota State Bar Association and the Grand Forks County Bar Association. He has served on several Bar Association committees and has chaired the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the State Bar Association of North Dakota.
Mr. Christensen was an adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota School of Law from 1985 to 1992 where he taught partnership income tax.
Mr. Christensen is a member of numerous civic organizations, serving on the Grand Forks City Council and the Board of Directors of several significant corporate organizations. Mr. Christensen has over 25 years of experience with an emphasis in commercial litigation, business organizations, business succession planning, estate and tax planning, and complex financial matters. He is recognized as a highly skilled negotiator and a formidable trial attorney in complex financial and commercial matters. Mr. Christensen has been called upon by his commercial clients and their insurers to represent the interests of his clients in complex commercial and financial matters which have involved questions of both liability and coverage.
